What shifts when you recognize that you are not the problem, the problem is the problem?

Working together means combining wisdom from your lived experience with insights from non-pathologizing, survival-affirming, evidence-based methodologies. This combination is aimed to bring humanizing, empowerment, co-regulation, and self-understanding to the forefront of our sessions.

Trauma-informed therapy responds to the impact of trauma on an individual's mental, emotional, and physical well-being. I aim to create a safe, supportive environment and use my training with Gabor Mate to inform the following, which I aim to foster in each session:

  1. compassion

  2. safety and trust

  3. empowerment and control

  4. normalization of trauma-responses

  5. advocating around trauma sensitivities

  6. increased emotional regulation

  7. healing of the mind-body connection

Narrative therapy is about stepping back and reframing stories in a more empowering way. This approach fosters a sense of control, allowing individuals to rewrite their narratives in a way that aligns with their values and protests. It promotes self-awareness, resilience, and I see how it encourages a deeper connection to one’s identity and purpose. Narrative therapy is all about the ways you know best, even when you’ve forgotten for some reason.

Neuroscientific therapy blends psychology with neuroscience to help clients understand how the brain works. It focuses on using techniques that can reshape brain activity, like cognitive exercises and mindfulness, promoting healthier thought patterns and emotional regulation. I love approaching the development of neural pathways, helping individuals with their mental resilience, in turn enabling them to better manage and sometimes transform conditions like anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Hypnotherapy can help people access empowering sensations and creative ideas stored deep in the subconscious. By revisiting early experiences or generating a container to tune into one’s intuition, I help clients uncover the roots of current experiences, release unresolved emotions, and gain insights. This process often leads to emotional healing, reduced anxiety,  greater self-understanding, and knowledge of where to go next. It can be tailored to directly support and wrap around your lived experience.
